LPUGUIscreenscaneasilybecapturedusingtheAlt‐PrintScreenkeysonatypicalWindowsPC.Theprocedureis

STEP 1
ConnectacomputertotheLPU.
STEP 2 Selectthescreentobecaptured.
STEP 3 PressandholdtheAltkeywhilepressingtheprintscreenkey .

EarlierWindowsprogramscopiedthecapturedscreentotheclipboard.
b. TheWindowsXPoperatingsystemopensawindowofferingmanychoicesinclud
ingco
pyingthecapturedscreentotheclipboardorsavingitasafiletoaspecified
directory.
STEP 4
Itmaybenecessarytochangethecomputerscreenresolutionifaportionof
theLPUGUIscreeniscutoffwhenitiscaptured.
STEP 5 Ifdesired,thecapturedscreenmaybeedited,usingausersuppliedprogram,
toremovetheundesiredinformationwhichsurroundsthecapturedscreen.
STEP 6 Procedurecomplete.
5.9.12 ChangingDateandTimeBattery
AbatteryisusedtoretainthetimeanddatesettingswhenmainspowerisremovedfromtheLPU.Thetimeand
dateinformationisusedintheLPUfaultlog.Thebatteryshouldbereplacedonaregularschedule(yearlyis
recommended).
STEP 1
RemoveACmainspowerfromtheLPU.
STEP 2 IftheLPUisinstalledinarack,removeitandsetitonabench.
STEP 3 RemovetheLPUtopcover.
STEP 4 Removetheoldbatteryandinsertanewbatterywithpositivesideup.
Batteryslidesoutfromundertheclip.
SeeFigure541forbatterylocation.
STEP 5
ReplacetheLPUtopcoverandremountunitinthetransmitter.
STEP 6 Continueontothenextsectiontosetthetimeanddate.
