Setting up the Dial-up Modem (Mac OS® X 10.5 or Later)
1. Connect your Sharp FX PLUS to your Mac® with the USB cable.
2. Your computer will auto-detect the Sharp FX PLUS and prompt you to set up a new modem connection.
3. Click Network Preferences... If your computer does not auto-detect the Sharp FX PLUS, open the Applications folder >
System Preferences > Network.
4. Select Sharp USB Modem > Type *98# or *99# in the Telephone Number eld depending on your local network settings.
5. Click Advanced > Change the Model setting to GPRS (GSM/3G) > Enter isp.cingular in the APN eld > Click OK to return
to the Network setup window.
6. Click Connect > Apply > Sharp USB Modem is connected.
