Quick and efcient, Sharp’s next-generation user interface
allows easy ngertip control and intuitive operation of
cutting-edge MFP functions. A simple ick, tap, or slide on the
colour touchscreen LCD opens the door to fast output,
high-quality copying, effortless scanning, and more. Even
rst-time MFP users can navigate with ease.
The Action Panel appears on the right side of the touchscreen
to guide you through operational procedures. The MFP intuits
what actions to take next and the Action Panel displays
shortcut keys and messages pertaining to those actions.
Sharp’s user-friendly interface also offers advanced
previewing, a function that saves time, effort, and paper by
displaying scanned documents on the LCD for conrmation
and editing before printout. Documents can be previewed in a
choice of modes, including 3D, edit, and thumbnail. Stapling,
page layout, and other document nishes can be checked in
advance. And previewed pages can be rotated, arranged in a
different order, and deleted via tap-and-drag editing right on
the touchscreen LCD.

Secure, Innovative Business Solutions Keep Sharp Document Systems a Step Ahead
Machine features and settings, including address book control
and document ling management, can be congured either
through Web-based device
management or from the
control panel of the machine.
And many of Sharp’s MFPs
support Web-based device
cloning, making it easy to
copy settings from machine
to machine in a networked
environment.
Sharp Remote Device Manager (SRDM) gives administrators
centralised remote control of their networked MFPs through a
standard Web browser—making troubleshooting, device
cloning, and many other network management functions easier
and more accessible.
The Remote Operation function enables users and/or
administrators to remotely view the MFP control panel and
control MFP features and functions from an ofce-networked PC.
Simplified System Settings
Network Utility Software
Remote Operation
Sharp MFPs can be monitored remotely through a Web browser,
letting administrators handle tasks before they become problems.
And when action or maintenance is required, the E-Mail Status
and Alert function noties administrators via timely e-mail alerts.
Remote Diagnosis
Seamless integration into office networks, simple configuration, and several options for easy remote
control make machine administration easy.
Integrated Device Management
Paper documents can be easily integrated into the electronic
workow to boost operating efciency. With one-touch access,
a scanned document can be sent as e-mail, conventional fax,
or Internet fax as well as to an FTP server, a network folder, a
PC desktop, and USB memory devices (on the MX Series).
With Sharpdesk
integrated document
management software,
scanned les can be
easily organised, edited,
converted, and even
combined, and Full Text
Search can be used for
easy document retrieval.
Document Filing allows processed data to be saved in
designated folders on the MFP’s hard disk, where they can be
instantly recalled for printing and sending at a later time.
Image Send Functions
Sharp’s logically laid out MFP control panels were designed with true user-friendliness in mind. Many models feature a wide, clear
touchscreen LCD that provides easy-to-follow instructions. For example, when adjusting the edge/centre erase function or in the
unlikely event of a paper jam, the LCD displays step-by-step instructions to guide users through the necessary procedures.
Easy-to-Use Control Panel
A full-size retractable QWERTY keyboard, optionally
available on selected MFP models, slides out from beneath the
control panel to make text input
fast and easy: convenient for
typing things like e-mail
addresses and messages, as
well as passwords for user
authentication.
Retractable Keyboard
Sharp’s Mycrostoner-HG, a high-performance processor, and
a new developer combine to provide breathtaking image
quality. The new toner expands the colour reproducibility range
for a more natural rendering of clear blue skies, emerald green
oceans, and other colour images. And the smaller particle size
of the toner and the developer allows for reduced graininess
and clear reproduction of ne lines, ne text, and halftone
colours.
Improved Imaging System
This unique system periodically monitors actual toner density
and automatically makes adjustments to maintain image quality
over a long period of time. This ensures consistent quality and
minimum paper waste.
Feedback Process Control
Auto Colour Selection automatically determines whether a
page is colour or B/W and selects the appropriate scan/copy
mode for that page. Auto Colour Mode analyses the contents
of each page, distinguishing between different components,
such as photos and text. These two functions allow Sharp
MFPs to print out maps with crisp, clear text and to
automatically remove unnecessary background colour from
newspaper and magazine copies for clearer output.
Easy, High-Quality Scanning/Copying
Next-Generation User Interface with Touchscreen LCD
Seamless Document Management
Designed to facilitate document distribution, Sharp’s workflow and document management
applications enable companies to efficiently organise and manage the flow of information, both
internally and externally.
